"storyline": "นับจากอดีตจนถึงปัจจุบัน นาม “สุมาลา” ยังคงสร้างความหวาดกลัวให้แก่ผู้คนของหมู่บ้านแห่งหนึ่งในเขตการปกครองเซอมารัง บนเกาะชวา จนไม่มีใครกล้าออกนอกบ้านยามค่ำคืนเพราะเชื่อกันว่า สุมาลา มีความดุร้ายและจะมาเอาชีวิตของพวกเขา\nย้อนกลับไปในปี 1948 ซึดจิมาน และ สุลาสตรี คู่สามีภรรยาผู้เป็นเจ้าของกิจการไร่ข้าวโพดอันมั่งคั่ง หลังจากผ่านการสมรสมาแล้ว 11 ปี แต่ทั้งคู่ก็ยังไม่มีลูก นั่นจึงทำให้ สุลาสตรี รู้สึกสิ้นหวัง โดยเฉพาะเมื่อฝ่ายสามีบอกกับเธอว่า เขาจะแต่งงานใหม่หากเธอยังมีลูกให้เขาไม่ได้ภายในปีนี้\n\nสุลาสตรี จึงแอบไปทำสัญญาลับกับปีศาจเพื่อให้เธอมีลูก จนกระทั่งได้ให้กำเนิดเด็กหญิงฝาแฝด คือ กุมาลา ผู้รอดชีวิต และ สุมาลา ที่ตายหลังคลอด หลังจากนั้น กุมาลา ได้เติบโตขึ้นเป็นเด็กหญิงจิตใจดี แต่มีความไม่สมบูรณ์ทั้งทางร่างกายและจิตใจ จึงเป็นเหตุให้ กุมาลา ได้รับการปฏิบัติและเลี้ยงดูอย่างทารุณจากคนรอบข้าง\n\nจนวันหนึ่ง สุมาลา กลับมาจากปรโลก และเริ่มเอาคืนกับทุกคนที่เคยทำร้าย กุมาลา ด้วยความตายอย่างเหี้ยมโหดแบบไม่มียกเว้นแม้แต่คนเดียว"
