“My life is powered by two kinds of energy : A power of dreams which gives me a purpose, and a power of love which gives me the strength to go forward . . .” Lin and Kath, who started as friends before their relationship blossomed into a romantic one, each has their own dreams. Lin aspires to become an astronaut, while Kath dreams of breaking the free driving record. The day Lin's dream becomes true is turned into the day that Kath disappeares into the deep sea and never return. Lin lives the rest of her life in pain. On the day when Lin finally embarks on a mission in space, her small spacecraft ends up trapped in a massive solar storm, severing her communication with the space station. Unexpectedly, some form of energy transports Linn's spirit into a multitude of different parallel worlds. In each world, Lin and Kath find love with each other, transcending various eras. No matter how many parallel worlds they journeys to, they realize that, in the end, they have to confront the pain that they cannot change. What Kath and Lin can do is cherish every moment they have together, and let love guide them to the inevitable end... and accept whatever that end may be.
