This is a chaotic love triangle among a teacher and two high school students—one male and one female—where love knows no boundaries when it comes to gender identity. The story revolves around Teacher Kim (Warodom Khemmonta), a student teacher at a school who falls in love with a female high school student named Tam (Zhiling). This professional misstep by a teacher ultimately leads to tragedy. Meanwhile, there is another angle to this love triangle: Win (Ryu Rawin), a gender-diverse male high school student, constantly tries to involve himself in a relationship with Teacher Kim. SOS: A Misstep That Changes Life reinterprets the traditional love triangle. Instead of a heartwarming romance between ordinary young people, it focuses deeply on social status, duty, and the moral ethics between a teacher and a student. It also questions individual rights—asking why social status must act as a barrier to love.

The Downward Spiral Tam tragically passes away after being raped, leaving her classmates mourning her death. At the same time, Teacher Kim is packing his personal belongings at his desk after being fired; the school principal caught him having an inappropriate relationship with a student. Tam was a high school student and the daughter of E-Duang (Lilly Nguyen), a sex worker who sold her body to support Tam. The relationship between Tam and E-Duang was highly dysfunctional, filled with constant arguments and a total lack of understanding within the family. This drove Tam to become a rebellious teenager, seeking validation by hooking up with multiple men until she ended up pregnant—without knowing who the father was. Tam turned to Teacher Kim, begging him to take responsibility and claim to be the child's father. However, feeling uncertain about whether he was actually the father, Kim hesitated, leading to a heated argument. Heartbroken, Tam ran away back home. Shortly after, devastating news broke: Tam had been raped and murdered by a drug addict.

The Aftermath E-Duang is completely devastated by Tam's death and blames herself for being a bad mother. Japan (Worawit Chanthasen), a transgender woman, steps in to comfort her, reflecting on the bitter truth that "you can raise a child's body, but you cannot control their heart." Japan herself faces severe life struggles, having contracted a serious illness due to a history of reckless sexual encounters. Meanwhile, Win, the LGBTQ+ teenager, idolizes his love for Teacher Kim. He waits faithfully and does everything to get Kim’s attention, despite knowing full well that the boundaries of their teacher-student status stand in the way.
